JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS
To help young people develop an appreciation for the experience of the Mayflower Pilgrims, Junior Memberships are offered. These are open to anyone under the age of 18 who can show a line to a Pilgrim ancestor.

Often parents, grandparents or another relative will give a Junior Membership as a way of introducing the child to the Mayflower Society. This helps establish their lineage. making it easier for them to formally join when they turn 18.

There is a one time $10 application fee with no other costs. The Junior Member receives occasional mailings to remind them of their Pilgrim heritage.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Every year a few scholarships are awarded to students through a competition.. To qualify, an applicant must be a high school senior in the year of application. Currently, applicants must have a direct connection to the California Society, such as, be a junior life member, child or grandchild of a member. There is no restriction on residence of the member or applicant.

An application form may be requested after September 1 from a Colony Governor, the State Society Education Secretary or by contacting the State Headquarters Office. Completed application packages are due to the Education Secretary on March 1.
